The Forbury Hotel
Reading

The Forbury Hotel is a 5 star boutique hotel in Reading, England. Offering 23 rooms and suites arranged over four floors, it blends design, art, lighting and sound to create a luxurious experience.

Built in 1911 as the Shire Hall for Berkshire County Council, this impressive listed building lends itself effortlessly to its new status as a luxury hotel. The wide hallways, vaulted ceilings, cornice mouldings and even the original lift shaft have been lovingly restored.

The Forbury has been described as ‘The UK’s Sexiest Townhouse Hotel’ by The Evening Standard. From the 86,000 Italian glass beads in the chandelier running the height of the building in the old lift shaft, to the opulent fabrics and wallpapers and attention to every single detail – the end result is one of sheer luxury.

Our team of skilled artists were commissioned by the hotel to handpaint our bespoke designs in situ. Gilding with white gold combined with this imaginative paintwork to create a suitably luxe finish.
