Château-d’Oex is a well known resort in the Swiss Alps. Close to Gstaad, the area is popular with both celebrities and wealthy individuals who enjoy not only the skiing but the luxury shopping available too.
Our clients, renowned hoteliers, had commissioned the design and build of a large ski chalet in the resort. The vast open plan structure draws on typical Swiss chalet styling whilst maintaining a contemporary look and feel.
We were appointed to polish plaster the walls throughout following completion of the build. It was important to evoke a feeling of warmth within the chalet so we hand mixed the plaster to a light golden hue.
The owners of the chalet have an enviable collection of art from the Far East and the specialist finish we produced provides the perfect blank canvas for these works of art.
