Oxfordshire Mansion House – Polished plaster alternative
Oxfordshire

The house being a Grade 2 listed building meant that we could not remove the lining paper from the walls, making the requested finish of polished plaster unachievable. Instead, we were tasked with finding an alternative to the look of polished plaster in paint. Using burnished chalk paint which we buffed with wax at the end we were able to achieve this in a number of different areas of the house. We also produced a ‘tea stained’ dragged effect in the paneled room as per the client’s request. Finally, we added a touch of sparkle to the bar area with a lacquered bronze paint that was trowelled on.
