The Lansdowne Club
The Ballroom

The Lansdowne Club is considered one of the most exclusive and traditional private members’ clubs in London. Built in 1763, Lansdowne House became a social club in 1935. Set in the heart of Mayfair, just off Berkeley Square in the fabulous West End, it features 18th Century grandeur and Art Deco styling.

We have worked with the Lansdowne Club on several projects including the grand Ballroom.

The Ballroom was originally designed by the neoclassical architect Robert Adam as the Library and later remodelled by George Dance and Robert Smirke to house the renowned Lansdowne Collection of classical statuary.

This elegant Grade II listed 18th century room has recently been refurbished and features spectacular 24-carat gold leaf vaulted ceilings and minstrel galleries.

Our highly specialised gilders are used to working within deadlines and completed this project in a tightly scheduled 2 week period.  We used 2,500 books of 23.5 Carat loose leaf gold.
